The Reading Retreat specializes in enhancing reading ability in PreK-3rd grade students of all performance levels. Our goal is for students to improve their reading skills and to develop a lifelong love of reading.
Getting to know Mrs. Liang
Mrs. Liang has served as a public school educator for 12 years. She received her bachelor’s in special education in 2009 and received her master’s in reading in 2013. Her passion has always been teaching students how to read and to love reading.
Learning to read
Helping books become your child’s happy place is the philosophy of The Reading Retreat. Mrs. Liang believes reading is the root to all educational success. It opens all doors and provides endless learning adventures for people of all ages.
Mrs. Liang believes in using research based practices for teaching reading skills. Skills are taught via hands-on activities, strategies, and games. The main goal is for students to have so much fun that they don’t realize they’re learning.
